Scanning Our Stories

Hallah, Hannah, Veronica, and Halle read transcripts from the Revelstoke Museum and Archives.

Students spent some time at the photocopier with the binders of stories provided to us from the Revelstoke Museum and Archives.  Stories were scanned for digital processing and optical character recognition.

Students used this opportunity to mine history for gold!

Students were instructed to consider the characters, the setting, and the story lines that defined Revelstoke at a different time.

How do these stories present a different world to us?  And because Erik probably has a Led Zeppelin tune on a cassette tape somewhere, we should also ask how the Revelstoke Song Remains the Same?
